Let’s take it from the top… My mom put me in dance at 3 years old and it was love at first sight! Since that moment, I have not wanted to try or do anything else. The only reason I got good grades in school was because if I didn’t, I couldn’t go to dance class, haha! I grew up at the studio, putting in over 20 hours of training a week and going to competitions on the weekend, until I signed with Go2 Talent Agency at 18 years old. Being from Southern California, I was lucky to be able to jump straight into the professional industry in Los Angeles after high school. I got to dance on projects with MAC Cosmetics, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, ESPN, American Horror Story, the movie Ted 2 and more!
As a choreographer, I have choreographed shows at the amusement parks Knott’s Berry Farm (Ca.), California’ s Great America (Ca.), and Cedar Point (Ohio) and competition pieces for studios all over the country. My most current job title is Assistant Choreographer for Royal Caribbean Entertainment where I helped choreograph and create a brand new show for the cruise line. My favorite title, over everything, is Dance Director for the non-profit organization SHE IS. We teach dance to survivors of sexual abuse and sex trafficking as a form of therapy to help gain confidence and self love. I choreograph the routines for fundraiser events, showcases, concept videos, and anything else we do to spread awareness and our mission. The last thing I want to point out is that dance brought me the gift of travel. I have traveled to over 15 countries, so far, all combined from working with Royal Caribbean, teaching or assisting workshops, and other jobs that required me to travel. How incredible is that! It’s so possible to follow your dreams if you work hard & go after what you want, which is why I LOVE teaching and inspiring young dancers!
Now, let me give you 3 fun facts about me that do not include dance, haha!
1) I am engaged to my best friend. We met when I was 14 years old, started dating at 19 years old, and are getting married Fall of 2020!
2) I am a skincare addict! Forget splurging on clothes and shoes, take me to a Sephora and you won’t see me for hours! Haha!
3) I am an enneagram 2 - "the helper!" The biggest trait of that is being an empath, which means I feel other people’s emotions and take them on as my own. It can be very draining but it is the reason why I love to stay so connected and open to people.
